💳 EPS is Austria's own online-banking payment: pick your bank in the cashier, approve in your banking app, and the deposit lands in real time. Only three casinos on our list confirm it, and none pays out through it.

How EPS works at casinos
EPS is the Electronic Payment Standard, the eps-Überweisung that Austrian online shops have used since 2001. At a casino it works the same way: choose EPS in the cashier, pick your bank, log in to your online banking, approve the amount. The transfer goes in real time and the deposit shows up straight away. The casino never sees your card or banking login.
It runs one way only. EPS can’t receive money, so winnings need a second method: a bank transfer back to your account, an e-wallet such as Skrill, or crypto. All three casinos below offer bank transfer or e-wallets for that.

🧮 Budget example: Bison’s €10 minimum with 30x on deposit plus bonus means a €10 EPS deposit carries 30 x €20 = €600 in bets. A €100 deposit means €6,000. Pick the amount in your banking app with that number in mind.
Using EPS in Austria
Our three EPS casinos, with the licence next to each:
GranaWin lists EPS alongside Paysafecard, cards, e-wallets and crypto. Welcome: 100% up to €120 plus 120 spins at 40x on the bonus, €20 minimum. Licence: Curaçao OGL/2024/590/0758, assessment in progress.
VegaDream takes EPS and Paysafecard from €10, with 30 days to clear its three-deposit package. Licence: Anjouan ALSI-202506047-FI2, not checked against a register.
Bison Casino lists EPS, Sofort, Klarna and Paysafecard. Welcome: 100% up to €500 at 30x on deposit plus bonus. Licence: Curaçao OGL/2024/1062/0475, assessment in progress.
EPS is rarer offshore than its popularity in Austrian shops suggests. Big names such as 20Bet and Slotrave don’t list it; they lean on Rapid Transfer, cards, vouchers and crypto. If EPS is missing, Paysafecard is the most widely accepted Austrian-born alternative on our list.
Pros and cons
✅ Pays straight from your Austrian bank account, approved in your banking app
✅ Real-time deposits, no card details shared
✅ Familiar from Austrian online shopping
❌ Deposit-only; you need a second method to cash out
The Electronic Payment Standard, or eps-Überweisung: an Austrian real-time online-banking transfer, in use since 2001 and supported by the major Austrian banks. You choose your bank in the casino cashier, log in to your online banking and approve the payment there.
Can I withdraw casino winnings with EPS?
No. At casinos EPS works for deposits only. Winnings go back by bank transfer, e-wallet or crypto, so set up and verify one of those in your own name before you need it.
Which casinos accept EPS in Austria?
On our Austria list, GranaWin, VegaDream and Bison Casino list EPS, per Austrian sources. Others, including Boho Casino and 20Bet, do not. Most offshore cashiers lean on Sofort, Rapid Transfer or cards instead, so check the cashier before you register.
Is EPS the same as Giropay or Sofort?
No. Giropay was the German counterpart and is not available in Austria. Sofort, now part of Klarna, is a separate instant bank transfer that several casinos on our list take. EPS is the Austrian banks' own standard.
Will Wero replace EPS?
Nobody has announced that. Erste Bank and Raiffeisen joined the European Payments Initiative in June 2026 to bring the Wero wallet to Austria, but we found no plan to retire EPS and no casino that takes Wero yet.
