How new casinos work in Finland
Finnish-facing casinos launch fast and in families. An operator with a licence opens a second or third brand under a new Finnish name, Fyrkka, Urho, Douppi, Hurjaa, with a Finnish-language site, a bank-ID cashier and an offer built for the local market: a prize game, wager-free spins or daily cashback rather than a big match.
That makes the newcomers worth reading for two reasons. The offers are often sharper than at older sites. And the track record is thin, so the licence and the operator are most of what you have to judge them by.
A worked example of why the operator matters: Fyrkka launched in October 2026 with no track record of its own. But it shares Geokul Limited and Malta licence MGA/B2C/119/2005 with Urho, so Urho’s terms are a fair guide to how Fyrkka will treat a withdrawal. Both cap withdrawals at €5,000 a week and both wager their matches at 40x on deposit plus bonus.

Fyrkka, Urho, 711 Casino and SpinSkull hold Malta licences. Hype and Kasarmi hold Estonian ones, though Hype’s is reported with low confidence. Hurjaa, Douppi and Spinnair are licensed in Curaçao, and Luottokasino is too according to the newest source, with older ones naming Tobique. Noppa holds an Isle of Man licence, Bajazo a Tobique one, and Pelifantti an Anjouan one.

Casino-published fastest times, cross-checked against independent review sites. First withdrawals take longer while ID checks run.
Most newcomers are Pay N Play sites, so published payout times run in minutes. The exception is Hype, at 24 hours, with withdrawal caps of €500 a day, €2,500 a week and €10,000 a month.
Many newcomers run a single payment rail. 711 Casino and Kasarmi take only Trustly; Fyrkka and Hype only Zimpler; Douppi and Spinnair only Brite; Luottokasino only Trumo. That keeps the cashier simple and fast, but leaves you no fallback if the one rail has a problem. Several also take small first deposits, compared on the low deposit casinos page.
⚠️ What to check before you sign up
The licence and the operator. Look for the company name and licence number in the site footer and match them to the regulator.
Lookalike sites. An unofficial-looking hurjaacasino.com exists alongside Hurjaa; use the address from the casino’s own records.
Support hours and language. Bajazo and Luottokasino answer chat in English only.
Withdrawal caps. €5,000 a week at Fyrkka and Urho; Hype’s are tighter.
Offers that differ by source. SpinSkull’s welcome package is described four different ways; confirm it in the cashier.
The standouts on this list
Kasarmi pairs an Estonian licence with Trustly payouts reported in under ten minutes and a first-deposit prize game with 1x on spin winnings, up to €5,000 in spins. Its €25 minimum withdrawal is the drawback.
Hurjaa has the highest score among the Curaçao newcomers: daily cashback of up to 15%, €1 deposits through Zimpler, and weekly spin contests.
Noppa leads with wager-free prizes: a first-deposit prize game up to €10,000 plus spins from €10, and a €10 mega spin for €1. Finnish-speaking chat runs 9 to 23 every day.
711 Casino is the newest Malta option, with a non-sticky 100% match up to €711 at 30x deposit plus bonus and 180 days to clear it.
Finland notes
These brands launched in the last stretch of the Veikkaus monopoly, which runs until 30 June 2027. The new Gambling Act lets licensed private operators start on 1 July 2027; none of the brands here holds a licence under Finnish law today. 75 licence applications had been filed by 22 September 2026; our sources don’t say which brands they cover. The law guide covers the reform, and the winnings tax guide covers the EEA rule.
A casino founded in 2026, per our research records. Several are only weeks old: Hype launched in August 2026, Luottokasino in September, and Bajazo, Douppi and Fyrkka in October.
Are new casinos riskier?
They have less history to judge them by. There are fewer player reports, payout records and complaint outcomes to read. The licence and the operating company tell you most, so check both before depositing more than you'd be comfortable leaving with a young brand.
Why do some new casinos look so similar?
Because many are sister brands. Fyrkka and Urho share an operator and a Malta licence; Douppi and Spinnair share an operator and a Curaçao licence; Bajazo and Luottokasino are sister brands too. Terms and payouts often match across a pair.
Do new casinos pay tax-free winnings in Finland?
Only those with an EEA licence. Under current rules, winnings are tax-free for Finnish residents when the casino holds an EEA licence: on this page that means Fyrkka, Urho, 711 Casino and SpinSkull (Malta), and Hype and Kasarmi (Estonia). The others are taxable.
What happens to these casinos in July 2027?
Finland's new Gambling Act opens online casino to licensed private operators from 1 July 2027. Under the new regime, network operators are expected to block the websites of operators without a licence under that Act, and the tax rules for their winnings are expected to tighten. Our law guide sets out what is confirmed and what is not.
