The caps matter less than they look. At 200%, a C$4,000 cap needs a C$2,000 deposit to fill, and a C$1,000 cap needs C$500. Most players will land far below either. The minimum deposit matters more: one version starts at C$15, another at C$100. If a code’s minimum is above what you planned to deposit, skip the bonus and play with cash.

🔒 Licence and safety
Stake’s terms (section 1.1) name the operator as Medium Rare N.V. and the licence as Curaçao OGL/2024/1451/0918. The brand dates from 2017. On the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s licence register of 20 October 2026, that licence shows as “assessment in progress”, with assessment dates that have already passed. That means the regulator is still processing it: it’s a licence under CGA assessment, not a settled indefinite licence. Medium Rare N.V. doesn’t appear on the regulator’s enforcement register.
Under Curaçao’s 2024 law, licensees must hold player funds in a segregated account, use approved testing labs and offer free independent dispute resolution. You have six months to complain. It’s an entry-level offshore licence, and it isn’t a licence from your own country’s regulator.
For context, Stake is far from alone in that status. On the 20 October 2026 register, 297 licences showed as assessment in progress against 209 indefinite. The old sublicence system ended in October 2025, and the register shows a large share of direct licences still sitting in that status a year on. The regulator also disclosed that its licensing portal was accessed without permission between December 2025 and September 2026, and launched a new interim portal on 19 October 2026.
